The Ending Outline

"CHRONO CONUNDRUM — Ending Outline & Timeline — Final Draft." The GM's outline for how the campaign was meant to end — never actually played (the session log stops mid-Session 51). This is the single most important bridge document between Chrono Conundrum and Gods and Dragons; see Canon and Continuity for how the wiki treats its canon status.

Structure

The outline is organized into five acts:

Act One: Enhasa

Picks up exactly where the played campaign's Session 51 leaves off. Trout and Daphne are already in custody; Laethan deliberately gets himself arrested (stealing a ring he immediately recognizes as one he'd give Daphne) so the rest of the party has a thread to follow. In the cells, Demeter reveals to Daphne the truth of her parentage (Jane Windsor's bargain with Lavos; her sister Olivia's flight into becoming Magus). As the party regroups and frees Daphne, Kaelion stages a coup, killing Queen Zeal in the throne room; the ensuing fight against Kaelion and Magus ends with Magus's death (used as a human shield by Kaelion) and Kaelion's escape through a portal — explicitly preserved as the villain for the next campaign.

Act Two: The Sacrifice

The party retreats to the End of Time, where Ghast awaits, already aware of what's coming. A portal meant to lead somewhere safe is hijacked by Lavos, trapping Daphne alone with him. He offers her a choice: an eternal, lifeless existence with him, or self-sacrifice to banish him and save everyone else. She chooses the latter. Laethan, unable to stop her, watches her die and slides the stolen ring onto her finger afterward.

Act Three: The Gap Year

A full year, spent apart: Onyx and Marle retake Porre and get engaged; Belgarian tracks Kaelion (without success) and builds a druid network; Trout goes quiet and solitary, receiving a divine dragon-slaying bolt from a grateful, restored Demeter; Lucca and Trout break up, "mutual, not cruel"; Laethan wanders the planes alone, unable to stand anything green. Demeter, meanwhile, quietly and invisibly rebuilds her full power.

Act Four: The Return

Ravina Moreau receives a vision of how to bring Daphne back. The party reunites at the volcano where Lavos's power first claimed Daphne, and a ritual combining Ravina's death-and-life framework, Demeter's restored power, the party's grief, and Lavos's own absorbed power brings Daphne back — changed, "something more." Laethan's 20th-level feature triggers at the moment of her return, granting him infernal wings. On their wedding night, Daphne offers him immortality as her husband; he accepts.

Act Five: The After

An epilogue in sequence: Daphne, now a goddess, mediates peace between humanoid and monster races, with Laethan standing beside her as living proof of her message. The Windsor wedding takes place in the High Forest, with Laethan taking Daphne's name. Onyx and Marle marry in Porre. The Windsor Estate is built on the Elongated Isle. The Windsor triplets — Demyra, Wolfgang, and Cassian — are born, "founders of the Windsor dynasty."

The "Confirmed Details" table

The outline includes an explicit table of confirmed fates for a number of characters (Ravina, Draven, and Elysia Moreau; Queen Zeal; Odelia; Gaspar; Cassian; Kaelion; William; Frog; Masa and Mune; Gazlow; Ghast and Melcher; Amara Sableflame; Bernard; Arthur; Ayla and Kino; Trout and Lucca; the Order of the Stars). Two entries are explicitly marked as loose ends left open on purpose: Kaelion (named directly as "BBEG for the Windsor triplet campaign") and William ("left open for later inconvenience").

Daphne's Divine Domain and "the Ring"

The outline includes a dedicated writeup of Daphne's post-resurrection divine portfolio (see Daphne Windsor) and a reference note on the ring Laethan steals during the Enhasa arrest — an emerald-cut ruby, yellow gold band, black diamond pavé accents, explicitly "red for Laethan, yellow for Daphne, black for both of them together."

A note on the Windsor dynasty

The outline closes by naming the players behind the continuity: "The players writing Wolfgang, Demyra, and Cassian are the same people who played Laethan, Daphne, and Trout." — i.e., each triplet is written by the player of the parent-generation character they most resemble in role (Wolfgang/Laethan, Demyra/Daphne, Cassian/Trout).
