Lucca Dragonaire¶
Inventor and time-machine builder, companion of the Chrono Conundrum party from Session 8 onward. Later engineer of Castle Orion (Bridge Material) and, per the Ending Outline, Trout Brightshield's partner for much of the campaign.
Overview¶
Built the party's original time-travel device (a rod embedded with a jewel from Marle's pendant) and remains the group's technical expert across every era they visit, from the medieval past to the post-apocalyptic future. Surname confirmed as "Dragonaire" in Session 20.
History¶
Lucca first appears bringing the party back from an early time-jump (Session 8) and joins them from that point on. She's captured and traumatized in the corrupted future timeline (sampled for flesh by cannibal cultists, Session 12–13), forms a relationship with Trout over the course of the campaign, and is instrumental in identifying and repairing magic items throughout (Kellemar/Masamune's reforging, various golems and constructs).
The Ending Outline and beyond (Planned Canon / Bridge Material)¶
Per the outline, Lucca and Trout break up during the Gap Year — "mutual, not cruel" — after which she returns to her parents. Wolfgang Windsor Backstory.docx (Bridge Material) confirms she later designs and builds Castle Orion for Trout's new order, including its defenses and the warforged Hephaestus, created explicitly as a companion/classmate for young students there.
