World Timeline¶
A broad, relative chronology across both campaigns. No absolute dates are given because the source material doesn't provide them (the campaign's internal timeline is explicitly non-linear — see Truce — and character ages are the only anchors available). Entries are ordered by relative sequence and labeled with their canon status.
Deep past (prehistoric era)¶
- The Jurassic-era village of Ayla and Kino exists, worshipping Lavos as a red star, and is later renamed "Battleborn" after Onyx wins the Chief's Stone from Kino. (Played Canon, Sessions 34–38)
Distant past — the age of Blood Hunter Orders¶
- The Order of the Diamondback, the Order of the Succubus, the Order of the Chimera, the Order of the Dragon, and others are active; the Schism reorganizes several orders away from single-Grandmaster demonic patronage toward draconic power and shared councils. (Backstory Canon — Quinon Hexshade's and Trout's backstories)
- Quinon Hexshade leads the War of the Snake at Castle Shain, killing Grandmaster Achulon. (Backstory Canon)
- Quinon buys the infant Trout and raises him at Castle Shain. (Backstory Canon)
- The Dread Gloom destroys Castle Shain, killing Quinon and most of the order; Trout (17) and Rodrick survive. (Backstory Canon)
- Trout's independent hunting years (17–19), ending when he wanders into the Millennium Fair. (Backstory Canon)
The age of Truce/Enhasa (spans centuries, visited non-linearly)¶
- Present day (party's baseline): The Millennium Fair; Laethan, Onyx, Belgarian, and Arthur meet. (Played Canon, Sessions 0–1)
- ~150 years before the Fair: Truce at war with "monsters"; the party saves the King and Queen from a poisoning plot; Laethan and Daphne are imprisoned and tortured. (Played Canon, Sessions 2–10)
- 258 AL ("After Lavos"): A ruined, zombie-infested future Truce, ruled by a cannibal-cultist chieftain. (Played Canon, Sessions 11–15)
- A further future: "Battleborn"-named settlements (unconnected to the Jurassic-era Battleborn village by name alone, per the sources), warehouse robots, and an aged William. (Played Canon, Sessions 16–20)
- Enhasa, Queen Zeal's floating city: The party's final destination — site of Sessions 46–51 and the entirety of the Ending Outline. (Played Canon through Session 51; Planned Canon thereafter)
The events of the Ending Outline (Planned Canon — never played)¶
- Queen Zeal's death in Kaelion's coup; Magus's death; Kaelion's escape.
- Daphne's sacrifice to banish Lavos.
- The Gap Year — a full year of separation among the party.
- Daphne's resurrection at the volcano; the Windsor wedding; the Onyx/Marle wedding.
Between the campaigns (Bridge Material)¶
- The Windsor triplets are born and raised on the Windsor Estate.
- At 16, the triplets are targeted by House Sableflame's grooming scheme; Wolfgang is abducted in Demyra's place.
- Wolfgang is held captive for over a year, tortured, and infected with lycanthropy.
- Daphne, aided by the pantheon, rescues him; the family spends time recovering.
- Wolfgang trains under Trout Brightshield at Castle Orion for roughly four years, returning home at 21.
- Trout, independently, hunts down and kills the Dread Gloom and founds the Order of the Stars at Castle Orion at some point in this same broad window.
