Order of the Tiger

An order of exclusively Lycan Blood Hunters, seated at Castle Fang — burned to the ground by a mob of superstitious peasants.

Overview

The Tiger welcomed every kind of werecreature: werewolves, weretigers, werebears, wereboars, and more. Unlike orders that treat lycanthropy as a curse to be controlled, the Tiger saw it as a tool — a lifestyle, "becoming what you were always fated to be." Most disciples fought with claws and teeth in Lycan form rather than conventional weapons (bows being the one common exception), trained through savage, violent combat instruction that valued instinct, self-control, ferocity, and endurance. Their grandmaster was chosen by right of might — whoever was strongest, decided through combat. Frequently mistaken for the monsters they hunted, the Tiger were highly protective of their own and deeply suspicious of outsiders. Their sigil was a tiger before a crescent moon.

History

The Tiger joined the Order of the Dragon's new-school reforms during the Schism. Generations later, they were attacked and burned to the ground by a mob of angry, superstitious peasants — one of the more mundane, tragic ends among the fallen orders.

Legacy

A survivor of the Tiger, Kali, later joined the Order of the Stars at Castle Orion, bringing Tiger training and philosophy with her — see Wolfgang Windsor, her rival and partner at Castle Orion.
